Testimonials from our Graduates

Check out what are former students have to say!
"My husband and I took the five-week childbirth course and found it hugely valuable. I had a long labor that ended in an unplanned cesarean (thank you 10 lb baby), but the one thing that went exactly as planned was coping with contractions using the techniques taught in class. My son's now eight-weeks old and I just went to the fourth trimester support group for the first time and LOVED it!! The other moms were great, it was a super supportive environment and reminded me that just because being a newborn parent is tough, doesn't mean I'm not doing a great job."
"Teachers were SO knowledgeable and presented information in such a thoughtful manner without being overwhelming. "
"We participated in both an infant safety course and a one day childbirth class and both were incredibly informative and interactive. Not only were all our questions answered, but our minds were put at ease simply from interacting with the experienced instructors and other first time parents. I would absolutely recommend these programs to other parents. I feel more prepared for labor, delivery and for assessing any safety concerns for our new baby."
"We truly felt this was extremely helpful and would recommend this to all friends and family. All of our expectations were covered. It was also very nice to have parents who recently gave birth come to the class and share their stories."
"Rachael & Asha made this class amazing. They made us feel very comfortable to ask as many questions we had, which we had a lot of them. I thought I was ready for the labor and new born before the course but after the course I realized I would have been clueless what to do. I am so glad we did this. Plus its a great bonding time too between my wife and I as we are away busy with our usual life style. This gave us a reason to spend more time with each other during class and after class when we read the books we borrowed from your library."
"Louise is amazing! Delivered all of the information in a fun, easy to understand way for both myself and my husband. Taking this was the best decision we could've made. The information we learned was vital in helping ease some of the stress and fear during my actual labor and birth."
"The honesty of the information was extremely helpful and gave my husband and I great perspective on childbirth."
"The series was great because we got to learn about the labor and delivery process together as a couple. Also, it was great to get to know first time parents just like us. I also like how new moms came in at the end to share their labor and delivery stories. it made it more "real" to see and hear someone who was in the previous class who used the techniques they had learned to help cope and get through the labor process."
"It helped me to realize that there are other people feeling the same way as me. It put me at ease."
"I loved everything about this class. I feel much stronger and able to advocate for myself after taking this class. I feel that being educated about the process will help me when it is time to deliver. It was also great for my Husband to be able to learn about the process and it has helped to make him more in tune with what will be happening and have more of an interest."
"We used a lot of the recommended techniques to cope with labor pains during while I was in labor with my baby girl. The class was super informative in regards to how your partner could support you and my husband was an amazing support during my delivery for this reason. The class helped him understand what labor was like for a woman and what he could do to uplift, and motivate me to stay focused and strong. Glad we attended."
"The weekend class helped out with our schedule. We both learned so much, and feel much more confident when the big day arrives! Louise Ward was fantastic, educational, and great sense of humor! She answered every question and then some. I would recommend her class to anyone!"
"We are expecting our third baby after a gap of 6 years. This class was far more useful than classes that we vaguely remember in the past. The instructors did a great job of including specific ways in which partners can assist laboring women. The discussion of decision making was very necessary. The primary instructor had an uncanny imitation of a woman in labor (I might have blushed when I saw it!). We were also extremely impressed at the fact that the class was useful for families who might make a wide variety of decisions about pain management, anesthesia, placenta preservation, etc--all without evident judgment or disrespect for doctors."
"We really think it was a great class that was clear and informative to help couples know their options and all the different options we have during labor and delivery."
"I was unsure going in, but could not have been more pleased with Louise's approach, knowledge and manner. I was worried about going to Yale for the delivery, and she put all my fears at ease."
"It gave a lot of information in a reasonable period of time and gave a lot of realistic advice. It was comforting and made us excited."
"I liked that it was a condensed version of the 5 week class. I think it touched upon all the major things I wanted to know and was very informative."
"My wife Nikki and I took your class with Asha and just wanted to share our testimony and say how appreciative we are of the information and confidence we gained from your class.  We were due on Feb 25th and we ended up delivering on the 21st. First and foremost my wife is an absolute champ! Her goal was to labor at home and go to hospital ONCE, and wanted to do it without epidural and C section.  She went into early labor at 5 pm, and things progressed rather quickly, by 9 pm lost mucus plug, and by 10 contractions were getting super strong and about 3 minutes apart about 45 sec long.  The shower helped a lot during this time to work through them.  We ended up leaving for hospital at exactly midnight and when we arrived she was 8 cm dilated.  Which was like music to my wife’s ears!  Her water broke in bed at 1:15, then felt the urge to start pushing at 2:00AM, and then our beautiful daughter joined us at 2:36 AM.

We learned an insane amount during the class, and we didn’t know how much we retained, but we certainly would have handled things differently if we were just left to ourselves.  We are so fortunate of what we gained from you and Asha, because it played a huge part in how the whole event took place!"
