Asha Evans, BS, LCCE, CLC is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Lactation Counselor, and doula who has been working with Louise since 2014. She loves the chance to support families as they prepare for childbirth and parenting. As a mom to three girls herself and the Family Pastor at her church, Asha can often be found trying to "practice what she preaches" while caring for her family and those around her. With a background in the sciences, education, and international non-profit work, Asha came to childbirth education after the birth of her first little girl, where she not only fell in love with her daughter, but also with birth itself. She has led support groups for moms, play groups for toddlers, and life story groups for folks of all ages. She continues to host our 4th Trimester Moms' support group where women gather to share their stories from childbirth. Asha and her husband, Robb, are natives of California and are happy to call New Haven home for the past 8 years.

For the past 3 years she has worked as the service line educator for the NNICU. In this role she helps educate the unit's nursing staff by developing programs in response to patient and healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities of the hospital.
